Have Mercy
Blind Bartimaeus was a beggar who was desperate. He was out of options except that he heard Jesus was coming near so he tried one more thing. He shouted toward Jesus, “Have mercy on me!” He caught the ear of Jesus and had His attention. Jesus said that Bartimaeus was healed because of his faith. Faith enough to trust Jesus enough to call out for mercy. Many people today turn to many other remedies only to remain desperate. The answer for deliverance and healing is to call upon Christ for mercy. When we call out for mercy we are placing our full trust in Christ.
