Give Up to Go Up
The rich young man Jesus confronted in this passage was a very religious man. One who followed the law as closely as any person could. However, he was falling short of Heaven and the Kingdom of God because of his unwillingness to do one thing, surrender. In order to receive Christ as Savior, we must be willing to surrender ourselves to Him.
